Ways to Give
-
Give Online
The most convenient way to give is online. You can set up recurring donations, or do one-time gifts. You can choose between using a bank account or using a credit card. There is a small fee for using a credit card, and an even smaller fee for using a bank account.

Checks or Cash
Drop checks or cash in the giving box at the back of the church, or mail your gift to:
Harvest Ridge Church
P.O. Box 11
Wheat Ridge, CO 80034If you give cash, please include a note with your name on it, or place it in an envelope with your name on it, so that we can provide you with a charitable receipt.
Other Giving Options
Following are details about other ways you can partner with the mission of Harvest Ridge Church.
IRA Accounts
If you are at least age 70 ½, and you have an IRA (Traditional, Rollover, Inherited, Inactive SEP, Inactive Simple), you can give what is called a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA account to Harvest Ridge Church, without having to pay tax on the distribution which you would otherwise have to pay tax on if you didn’t use a QCD. This QCD also counts towards all or part of any required minimum distribution (RMD) that you are required to withdraw from your IRA’s. You will receive a charitable receipt from Harvest Ridge Church that you will be required to keep as proof. However, you cannot deduct the QCD as a charitable contribution because the income was not taxable. Contact your IRA administrator, and consult with your financial advisor and tax advisor for details including rules and limits. This method of giving is highly recommended by tax professionals whether you itemize your deductions, or you take the standard deduction.
Stock
In certain circumstances it may be advantageous to donate appreciated stock rather than checks or cash due to the potential of not having to pay tax on the capital gains. Please consult your financial advisor and tax advisor if you are contemplating donating appreciated stock.
Please contact us if you intend to contribute stock so we can discuss it with you before you proceed.
Donor-Advised Funds
Donor-Advised Funds, or DAFs, are like charitable investment/savings accounts that allows donors to make irrevocable charitable contributions to an account at a Sponsoring Public Charity, or SPC. You receive an immediate charitable contribution for the total amount given that year to the SPC. You then recommend grants from that account to go to other IRS qualified charities like Harvest Ridge Church, either in the same year that the gift was made to the SPC, or in subsequent years. The account earns income while you are deciding who to recommend grants to, and when to give out those grants. Consult your financial advisor and tax advisor for details including things like what items can be contributed to the SPC, who actually owns the DAF account, annual grant percentages, admin fees paid to the SPC, and other restrictions.
Other Non-Cash Gifts
If you are considering giving other non-cash gifts, such as real estate, business interests, personal property, restricted securities, estate gifts, retirement plans, and life insurance, etc., please consult your financial advisor and tax advisor.
Please contact us if you intend to contribute other non-cash gifts so we can discuss it with you before you proceed.
